That's why I intend to finish the third season and then watch every episode with the commentary to check out the observations of members of the cast and crew. I imagine the writers and directors will be particularly interesting in terms of what they have to say about adapting the books for a screenplay and the screenplays for individual episodes and/or seasons, with the cast possibly talking about how people like Anthony Hopkins, Brian Cox, William Petersen, Edward Norton, Ralph Fiennes, Tom Noonan, Harvey Keitel, Scott Glenn, Anthony Heald, Dennis Farina, Giancarlo Giannini and others influenced their performances, if at all. It's unlikely there would be any mention of Thomas Harris, because he notoriously shunned the limelight and apparently hasn't given a public interview since 1976!
