I actually think the TV show is better, probably because there's more dramatic license, as a result the show is more expansive.
I do really like the film though (and the book).
Suburra starts on Netflix next month, another Italian drama based on a film. It's also about organised crime but it sounds like the protagonists are higher up in the food chain. The film is already on Netflix.
