Some elements of Children of Earth wasn't too bad + I did enjoy Reset by J. C. Wilsher, but I do agree with you, the stories in Torchwood were very patchy affairs indeed. Miracle Day was flipping awful, couldn't watch it. Sarah Jane was the only spin-off that actually had mature stories with a creative thought behind them that worked exceptionally well. Great shame.
