There are certainly some comparisons to be drawn between the two films on certain levels.
Starry Eyes was very good, but for me a little 'rough and ready' and a little crude in how it handled its material.
The Neon Demon for me was the more polished of the two (which isn't necessarily a good or a bad thing); I just connected with it much more than
Starry Eyes.
