I don't dispute that
Harry Brown is well made and will freely admit that Michael Caine's performance is very good, with enough nuance and menace to make the titular character fully rounded. What I didn't like was – and this is the case with almost all vigilante films – was portraying the police as feckless, uncaring, and generally useless.
There are undoubtedly some cases where law enforcement has been found wanting, but (and I realise this isn't the filmmakers job) criticising hard-working professionals when they are already overworked, underpaid and underappreciated is going to do little to change the situation.
