I thought it was okay, despite it going downhill in terms of plot once the 'twist' has been revealed - decent performances and an eerie build-up helped me get something out of it. I don't think it would work as well with multiple re-watches. I'd suggest avoiding
The Visit at all costs or just treat it in the same way one might approach Tommy Wiseau's
The Room 
However, that said, it grates more than being laughably bad (it's just bad. Really bad!)
I'm actually intrigued by
Split, mainly because of McAvoy.
