Because I was too young to have seen the Troughton stories, this was the first time I had seen the Cybermen, and I loved the fact that they had guns in their heads

BUT...even as an 8 year old child, I was not convinced by the story, and I remember turning to my older brother and asking: "if they are scared of gold, why are they going down to a planet that is made of gold?" and he just nodded his head, and wisely replied "you'll understand when you are older"
Well, I'm now older, and I still don't understand that plot implausibility!
