This is not a bad idea. I've been going through it already and adding my own ideas, so this is a provisional list:
Topics- Time travel, or where time plays a prominent part
- Killer Mammals – not including werewolves, fish or whales!
- Sequels, one list for horror, one for non-horror – try to keep it to one per series/franchise
- Video nasties – from the 72
- Vampire movies
- Remakes (best and worst)
- Zombie/infected
- Twins/lookalikes
- The Creative Process – films about filmmaking, writing, composing etc.
- Metamorphosis – a main character undergoing change
- Twist/trick/surprise endings
- Horror films not in the English language
- Serial killers
- Spy films, or those where the main character is engaged in espionage
- Detectives – two lists: Film Noir and Giallo
- Revenge films
- Sport films
