I think what separates the cannibal ones from the rest of Italian exploitation is the forty minutes + of jungle wandering where nothing happens.
Films like
Zombie Creeping Flesh are no better produced than the cannibal films but they keep the entertainment levels up constantly which is where the cannibal films fall down in my opinion.
