It just seemed odd that one of the four life cycles was missing. We see an egg, facehugger and xenomorph but no chestburster. I just listened to some of the Ridley Scott commentary to see if he would explain the absence but no mention of it. I also just watched this video which has some interesting Alien Covenant questions (obviously features spoilers):
Edit. Thinking about it, another life cycle is missing: a queen.
