Yeah, GoT became a parody of itself somewhere between books 3 and 4 IMO. I'll give BS a miss i reckon.
True story - back when i did a bit of writing for a living and GoT was still only a trilogy of books i got approached and asked if i wanted to do some 'research' work on the Game of Thrones books. Do region guides and the like of places in the books. I declined, but i often wondered since the tv series started a couple of years later whether i turned down something i shouldn't have! |
Well let's put it this way.
Had the books still been in print when the series took off you'd have royalty cheques flooding in.
