Speaking of dreck ...

Lolita (1997, Adrian Lyne)
Whilst it resembles the source novel slightly more, this is toothless even by Lyne's own standards. The trailer at the time made me laugh like a ficking drain. Sadly the film is rather glum. What do you do with an underage squeeze?
Somewhat mystifying is the film's absolute refusal to show anything. Why make another version at all?
Considering how spotless Hollywood was back then
Still. This will conclude me watching things I said I never would.


Next up ...one last drive down to Rettendon in the shape of Essex Boys.
