After finishing watching Feud: Bette and Joan, something I really enjoyed and – oddly for a miniseries – feel like watching it again after revisiting Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?, I began watching the Marvel show Iron Fist on Netflix. It's much more of a character based, slow burning drama than shows like Daredevil, but I'm appreciating the change in tempo and the way it (through Claire character) ties in with Daredevil and Luke Cage. Additionally, Jeri Hogarth, the attorney from Jessica Jones, plays a larger role than in that series, so it ties in nicely to that series.

One bugbear is the way they seem to have added artificial film grain to the picture, something which is only noticeable in a few scenes, particularly close-ups and those with bright backgrounds, but it's entirely unnecessary because it's not present in any of the other Marvel shows I've mentioned which are also in Ultra HD. I'm guessing they wanted to make it look as if it was shot on film rather than digitally, though exactly why that would be an aim is a complete mystery.
