Genuinely surprised this one works. I like Guillermero del Toro, he makes the sort of films Jean-pierre Jeunet should be making if he had the ability to inject any sort of substance into his souless, brainless movies. He doesn't disappoint here and I find myself rooting for this one at the oscars.

I actually watched this one at the weekend too, along with
Call Me By Your Name, both of which are causing all sorts of award season buzz and both deservedly so! I'm looking forward to seeing both of them again soon.
