Apart from more Columbo, which I've been thoroughly enjoying, I watched Red Dwarf: Back to Earth, a three-part series which I haven't seen in years and enjoyed much more than last time, probably because it's not been long since I watched Blade Runner and so was able to see the obvious (and acknowledged) influences, something which becomes a plot point in the third episode/act.
I watched the first episode of Requiem last night, which establish is things very well and I hope the remaining five episodes will live up to the promise of this. I heard the last episode is a bit of a mess, but intend to watch it with an open mind and probably in a short period of time.
After that, I had a bit of time before I planned on sleeping so opened the Tales of the Unexpected boxset which had been in its shrinkwrap on the shelf since it arrived last June. The first episode is 'Man from the South' and it was odd watching this because, when I watched almost exactly 2 years ago, I found 'Man from the South' episode from Alfred Hitchcock presents, so it didn't take me long before I remembered how the story ends. Even with that knowledge, it's a really enjoyable, and surprisingly tense, way to spend 24 minutes. |
