After that, I had a bit of time before I planned on sleeping so opened the Tales of the Unexpected boxset which had been in its shrinkwrap on the shelf since it arrived last June. The first episode is 'Man from the South' and it was odd watching this because, when I watched almost exactly 2 years ago, I found 'Man from the South' episode from Alfred Hitchcock presents, so it didn't take me long before I remembered how the story ends. Even with that knowledge, it's a really enjoyable, and surprisingly tense, way to spend 24 minutes.

I had no idea when Tarantino used it in
Four Rooms that it was by Dahl. I just thought it was a lovely bit of macabre fun. T'was a long time ago though when i saw
Four Rooms at the cinema.
