once over Arrow had next to no competition in the marketplace so it was easy for them to get the high profile cult titles. now they are in competition with loads of labels some of whom are more of, shall we say, stack 'em high, and sell 'em fast variety. particularly in the US Arrow have some very stiff competition for licences.
i think Arrow have modified their business model to account for this. hence, more concentration on LEs (including upgrades of previous releases) for the bigger titles. Also, unlike other labels, and perhaps because they know they have a strong cult following themselves, they seem determined to control the tap. the real killer for the collectors market is dwindling sales, but imo this is less likely to be people turning to downloads, but an over-saturated marketplace.
