I bought the complete box set two years ago, late November, started watching it early December and finished it New Years Eve. It worked out perfectly as the series finishes on New Year Eve as well (I didn't know that at the time though). As they were wishing one another a Happy new year and the credits rolled the actual new year was about three minutes away.
Loved every single second of it, in fact i'd go as far as saying it's one of the best series i've ever seen.
