Thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite absurd films. It was something I found very difficult and I have a list of some brilliant movies which, from Arsenic and Old Lace to Zelig, I really wanted to include but didn't make the final cut down to 10.
This week's topic is about films in which a central character is mistaken for someone else, or assumed to be something they're not. This is quite an old and effective plot device (one Alfred Hitchcock used several times) which has been used for comedic or dramatic purposes.
Before anyone asks, this category can include twins and doppelgangers.
