Santa's Slay (2005)

Wrestler Bill Goldberg plays a murderous Santa in this horror comedy which could be classed as a lot of fun but inessential Christmas viewing.

Entertaining throughout with lots of tongue in cheek gore the film never really betters it's opening six minutes when Santa arrives at the house of a wealthy but obnoxious family (Headed by James Caan) settling down to their Christmas turkey.

The cast including Robert Culp and Saul Rubinek seemingly have a lot of fun with an amusing script although it falters towards the end and has a truly bizarre ending.

As far as recentish Christmas horror films go, although it's not as good as Dick Maas' Sint (2010) or the gorefest that is Silent Night (2012), this is still well worth a watch.
