KEY
  • The first column - Ep 01 - 8.2m - 10.54m - 10.96m - 83 - is the episode number
  • The second column Ep 01 - 8.2m - 10.54m - 10.96m - 83 - is the overnight TV ratings, which only contains those who watched it live and those who recorded and watched it later that night.
  • The third column - Ep 01 - 8.2m - 10.54m - 10.96m - 83 - is the consolidated TV ratings which contains those who recorded and watched within a week, making them a more accurate measure of how many were watching.
  • The fourth column - Ep 01 - 8.2m - 10.54m - 10.96m - 83 - is the Live Plus count which features those who watched live and all repeats, including iPlayer, within 'X' days following broadcast.
  • The final column - Ep 01 - 8.2m - 10.54m - 10.96m - 83 - is the Audience Appreciation Index. This is a score out of 100 which is used as an indicator of the public’s appreciation for a show. Over 90 is considered exceptional, 85 or over is excellent, 60 or less is poor, and less than 55 is very poor.

Yes, the viewing figures got smaller, but the audience appreciation remained high
If you say so.

The lowest AI score an episode ever got was Sleep No More. It got 78.

The best AI score was The Stolen Earth and Journey's End both achieved 91.

So despite how DoctorWhotv spin it, 79 is crap. The average score for a tv drama is 85. The average BBC1 AI is 81.

For the series finale to get one percent higher than the WORST EVER rated story is tragic.

Delve a bit deeper beyond the gushing pro-series 11 reviews and spin and see what DoctorWhotv's readers think. It's a slightly different story.
