It means i can buy one (hopefully) good Dalek episode on it's own without having to fork out for what i consider a very disappointing series.

if it isn't a good Dalek episode or indeed a Dalek episode at all then i don't have to buy either.

Presumably this means that the episode will not be included as part of the complete series 11 set

They did the same thing with 'Twice Upon A Time' - released it as a stand-alone episode instead of as part of Capaldi's final series
