Difference is the Batman story continued, whereas Bond definitely rebooted story wise as Casino Royale was pretty much a Bond origin story.
I get what you're saying regarding Schumacher's lighter touch (being kind here) but neither film reboots Batman for better or worse and all are classed as sequels to the first Burton film.
