Well, I'm currently listening to the BBC "version" of
The Whisperer In Darkness, and apart from the fact that it is rather drawn out (10 episodes?), the "updating" of it is infuriating. By making it "media savvy" to appeal to a newer audience, it has drained it of what makes HPL great. It's like a bad episode of Fringe
