Loving Michael Portillo's
Great Asian Railway Journeys on BBC2 each evening at 6.30.
It's fascinating stuff. Hong Kong was the focus of the first two episodes but last night and tonights has been Thailand.
We went behind the scenes of an elephant hospital which built prosthetic limbs for elephants that are wounded by land mines on the border with Myanmar, saw the Death Railway better known as the Bridge over the River Kwai and visited a heaving marketplace where a train passes through eight times a day and no one seems to notice. You need to see it to believe it to be honest.
