Showdown, Maniac Cop & Money Monster Showdown
Karate Kid meets Never Back Down where Billy Blanks is a former cop who resigns after he accidentally kills the brother of Patrick Kilpatrick, Blanks is then the janitor of a high school where the new kid is being bullied by the champion of an illegal fighting ring (Run by Kilpatrick) just for talking to his girlfriend played by Christine Taylor (Ben Stiller's ex) this film doesn't
re-invent the wheel from the bullying storyline, the evil Martial Arts teacher, Blank's teaching being similar to The Karate Kid (There's even a joke about it) and the big confrontation at the end however this film is a lot of fun, if you are into a fight films, check it out. It's one of my favorites. Maniac Cop
A Cop is seen murdering innocent people and frames Bruce Campbell for the crime so it's up to a police detective and Campbell's Girlfriend to prove his innocence. Decent film in the 80's however whilst it's still ok, there are better films out there. Also I didn't like it when they made the kill indestructible (As in taking several close range gunshots and not having much effect) Money Monster
George Clooney is a TV Financial Expert who is taken hostage on air by Jack O'Connell who lost money on stock shares due to a glitch and he wants answers to why that happened. Julia Roberts plays the producer of the show. This is a very entertaining movie which moves along at a fast pace (The movie was around 95 minutes long, I honestly thought it was longer)
