Candyman : Farewell To The Flesh
Candyman returns after the daughter of one of The Candyman's victims summons him while trying to prove he is not real to her art students. This time based in New Orleans with Mardi Gras as the backdrop the home of the Candyman myth is explained in a bit more detail and goes back to the exact place the brutal slaying took place.
Im such a big fan of Candyman but i avoided this follow up for years and i gotta say i was surprised at how enjoyable it actually was. It was great to go a little more in depth of the origins of The Candyman but it just couldn't pull off the creepy vibe of the first film. The blood and gore is well done apart from the final scene which just looked like typical 90s CGI trash really it was a bit of a let down after everything looking so good before hand. That aside the only downside was the radio host talking over alot of the film i just found him really annoying.
Farewell To The Flesh has the same senario as the first film a woman summons Candyman he latches on to her starts murdering everyone she loves and everyone thinks she is crazy but its still entertaining and there is enough going on to make it feel somewhat different.
Overall entertaining interesting and a hell of a lot better than i had given it credit for before i watched it. I really need to learn to be more open minded but i probably won't learn a bloody thing
