The Body (1970)

Ok, watched this here 70's documentary about the body, and loved it, i was fascinated and moved in equal measure, was a random purchase from the Network sale a while back that lured me in due to a soundtrack by Roger Waters of Pink Floyd in his early psych-out phase, apparently the last tune features all of the Floyds.
So it's basically a documentary but it is done in quite a random style flitting here and there, with film of inside the body, x-rays, skin as a landscape etc, but it's just generally about living and the phases of life.
Taking in everything from birth to death, with snippets of dialogue from everyday people, a lot of people would probably find this a bit random and tedious but i was slightly pissed so i just went with the vibe and really enjoyed it.
I could see how this may have influenced or informed the Dark side of the Moon
album in many ways.
Recommended if you like vague arty weird documentary type thingies.
8/10
