Filmed with Superman before being fired and 75% filmed, Richard Donnor should have never been replaced, as we see more of Marlon Brando as Jor-El, and stock footage of Superman turning the world back round. The editing and sound it's not the best as it does seem jumpy and the sound goes lower but we do see The White House getting wrecked by General Zod and his two minions. This version did eventually grow on me and have come to enjoy it a lot especially with Lois trying to prove Clark is Superman.

Just finished watching the Richard Donner cut, some version of films are slightly different scenes being extended or shortened, this version is totally different in many ways, right from the start even up towards the end, people complained about some comedy elements like the ice cream cone flying off and hitting someone in the face, I found elements like that seemed to work better than some elements that I found stupid, when their trying to escape from prison and he does the bunny ears and their arguing over the psst , and when they get to superman place and she debating about needing the toilet, also felt the ending where superman faces them with the reverse process was a bit short and rushed the other version I thought was better, overall I enjoyed it but felt the other version we are used to was better IMO.
