Master of Puppets is my favourite Metallica album and the one I still consider their best – the title track, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), and Battery are timeless classics, and Orion is a beautifully crafted instrumental piece.

I'd put their self-titled follow-up in second place – it's a brilliant album and I keep meaning to buy the remastered CD release.
