Cutthroat Island. Loved it at the cinema. It was the first and only pirate epic i saw, and it's one that i've upgraded from vhs to dvd and soon to Blu.
I know it doesn't have a great reputation probably because it was the movie that ruined Carolco, but i bet it still stands up nowadays.
