I picked up a book from my wishlist at the local BHF and I am blown away by the amount of stuff I've learned from it!
The book is : Invasive Aliens: The Plants and Animals From Over There That Are Over Here, by Dan Eatherley.
We all know (or should know) that there are absolutely tons of species of plants and animals that have made it to the British Ilse by one means or another, mostly aided by humans, but the sheer breadth of species is astounding.
The book is written very fluidly and carries you through the invasions in chronological order. One for anyone with a passing interest in these sorts of things (and a love for Triffids). Long live the mighty Giant Hogweed!!
