Live After Death on cassette was the first Maiden album i ever owned.
That cover art is immense. Sums up the scariness, the evil and the intensity of metal beautifully.
I was listening to it again last night. A wonderful introduction to Maiden for a teen as i was at the time and remains probably my favourite live album.
Like so many of you i was fascinated with the
Somewhere in Time artwork and pored over it for hours over the years. Likewise with
Piece of Mind which i always found scary in my teens.
Not so with
Dance of Death and
Virtual XI which are bloody awful.
