I'm not too sure they are past their peak really. Admittedly not young anymore but apparently they stole the show at the Californian three day Power Trip festival back in October.
Only six bands played, two a night.
AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Guns N' Roses and
Tool.
Certainly album wise their last three have been better than anything since
Back in Black in 1980.
