Mulan (2020)
When her father is unable to join the army due to an old injury from past battles, Mulan, his young daughter, decides to disguise herself as a man and takes his place instead when a warlord and his army vow to depose the Chinese Emperor.
It's an entertaining historical Chinese action film based on folklore and a live action remake of a Disney feature length cartoon. It looks and sounds great and is well acted with some beautifully constructed set pieces. However being Disney it lacks the intensity and impact of other historical epics but is never the less enjoyable enough to fill a couple of hours.
I can't believe i didn't recognise Jet Li was playing the Emperor.
