The Doorway (2000)
A group of college students helping to renovate and clean an old house find it's actually one of the gates to hell.
From the brief summary above i'm sure you'll think Fulci to yourselves. In fact it does come across as kind of a mash up of Fulci old dark houses at the gateway to helll with teen horror such as Night of the Demons and The Hazing.
There's not a lot you haven't seen before in The Doorway, except maybe having a reasonable sized appearance from Roy Scheider. The film is nicely paced, reasonably well performed and full of the requisite blood, guts, nudity and gloopy effects you'd hope from a film like this.
An Irish made Roger Corman production, there's not an awful lot to dislike about this film as long as you don't have an issue with C-grade direct to video horror.
The AV quality of this dvd was really quite good to say it was released by the cheap and cheerful Film 2000 back in the day.
