A selection of reviews from the latest US tour

Albany's Palace Theater Was Rocked by The Legendary Alice Cooper / Q1057
"If there is a bucket list of things to do as a music fan I would put seeing an Alice Cooper show near the top of that list. It is easily one of the most memorable concerts you'll ever see, and you'll never leave disappointed....Not only did Alice bring out the giant Frankenstein, Jason Voorhees, a snake and the iconic guillotine, his band was absolutely incredible. I could watch Nita Strauss shred on guitar all night. At 76-years-old Alice shows no signs of slowing down, either. He still sounds amazing and has such a command of the stage...He owned the crowd from the start of the show, until the end of the encore performance of "School's Out.""
Alice Cooper's "Too Close for Comfort" Tour Kickoff in Niagara Falls / NYS Music
"The moment the lights dimmed, a wave of anticipation swept through the crowd. As the clock ticked past the scheduled start time, murmurs of impatience began to ripple through the audience. However, all was forgiven the instant Alice Cooper stormed the stage and launched into the electrifying opener, "Lock Me Up." The high-energy performance immediately set the tone for the evening. Cooper's signature raspy vocals and theatrical stage presence, captivated the audience... The true highlight of the evening came with the third song, "No More Mr. Nice Guy." The classic hit had the entire audience singing along, a testament to Cooper?s enduring appeal and the timelessness of his music. As he belted out the chorus, it was clear that Cooper's voice has lost none of its edge over the years. The performance was infused with a raw energy that transported the audience back to the 1970s, when the song first made its mark on the rock scene.... Throughout the concert, Cooper?s band provided a rock-solid foundation, with blistering guitar solos, pounding drums, and thundering bass lines that kept the energy levels high. The stage production was equally impressive, featuring the elaborate props and dark, theatrical elements that have become synonymous with an Alice Cooper show. The setlist, a mix of classic hits and newer material, was carefully curated to keep fans of all ages engaged and entertained... Alice Cooper demonstrated why he remains an iconic figure in the music world. Fans left the OLG Stage in Niagara Falls not just satisfied, but exhilarated, having witnessed a true legend in action. If this show is any indication, the rest of the tour promises to be a wild, unforgettable ride."
Welcome to His Nightmare: Alice Cooper Launches 2024 'Too Close For Comfort' Tour at Fallsview Casino / 519 Magazine
"At 76 years young, the rock legend proved that he's still got the chops, the theatricality, and the raw power to captivate an audience like no other. With a career spanning over five decades, Cooper has cemented his place in rock history as a true innovator, and this tour is a testament to his enduring legacy... The setlist was a masterful blend of classic hits and deep cuts, with Cooper and his band tearing through fan favorites like "No More Mr. Nice Guy," "Under My Wheels," and "Poison" with the kind of raw, unbridled energy that has defined his career. The rarely performed "Snakebite" was a particular highlight, with Cooper emerging on stage with a live snake coiled around his body, a true testament to his unparalleled showmanship and his willingness to push the boundaries of what's possible in a rock concert... But it wasn't just the music that made this show so special. The stage production was a visual feast, with Cooper employing his signature props and set pieces to create a fully immersive experience for the audience. From the guillotine and the Frankenstein monster to the straight jacket and the giant balloons during "School?s Out," every element of the show was designed to shock, awe, and entertain in equal measure... Of course, no Alice Cooper show would be complete without the man himself, and he was in rare form on this night. His voice was as powerful and commanding as ever, his stage presence as magnetic and mesmerizing as it's always been. Whether he was stalking the stage with menace during "Feed My Frankenstein" or leading the audience in a raucous singalong during "Eighteen," Cooper proved once again why he's one of the most beloved and enduring figures in rock history."
Music Matters: On Alice Cooper, our kids and nostalgia rock / Times Union
"The show itself was tight and on point. Over the course of 90 minutes, Cooper and his band ripped through 20 songs from his 55-year career with characteristic professionalism and showmanship. Hits and fan favorites like "I?m Eighteen," "Billion Dollar Babies" and "Under My Wheels" still rip. "Cold Ethyl" remains one of the best and funniest songs about necrophilia... The core of an Alice Cooper concert in 2024, while being a vastly different cultural experience - this isn't really an era where you can "shock" an audience anymore - still resonates. Big, hooky guitar rock, despite what dunderheads like Gene Simmons of Kiss say, will never go out of style. It doesn't matter whether you?re a 39-year-old hearing "Be My Lover" live for the fifth time or a third grader hearing "No More Mr. Nice Guy" for the first. Seeing someone pretend to have their head chopped off will always be, at the very least, darkly comedic"
