Warner US release titles seem to be the most affected but US Anchor Bay releases such as Frankenstein Created Woman were affected.
It does seem that it is only the US made titles of Warner that are affected? I have not heard of a UK disc rot plague.
Thing is, most of the time it's something you can't see. Rot is usually seen by a coffee like stain on the disc or discolouration but a lot of the titles that are affected look normal. They just won't play anymore because of freezing or skipping. One day the disc plays fine, the next won't play.

Luckily Warner Archive and others are releasing Blu rays to replace films in these sets. It's not good to have to do it but..
Just having a look at the threads on CHFB or videos on youtube of the many titles affected is very sad as probably some titles will not have an alternative release to be able to replace it. |
