Back then they'd have piles of mini posters in the foyer for punters to take away. Basically mini poster ads for forthcoming and current films.
All the ones in the photo and many, many more i own were taken home with me when i went to the cinema in the 90's. You didn't have to ask for them, they were there for patrons to take freely.
So due to the fact nobody actually knows what i mean, i presume that this is no longer practiced in cinemas.
With a bit of luck @nicholasrope will know as i believe said forum member actually works in a cinema.
