A rare element called Byzanium, taken from Russia and which could be used in a nuclear weapon, is tracked to crates which sank with The Titanic in 1912..
A huge box office failure at the time for ITC Entertainment. This though, should not put any viewers off.
The raising of The Titanic, when it comes later in the film is the big money shot. It looks fantastic and with John Barry's excellent sweeping score over the top is quite emotional.
A hats off to John Richardson and the huge model of The Titanic.
As said before, the raising of the ship comes later in the movie but the lead up to finding the ship and the exploration under the sea is never boring, at least for me anyway.
