The Mummy's Ghost (1944)
The fourth film in the regular Universal Mummy series. Lon Chaney plays Kharis the mummy once more in this the second of three sequels to The Mummy's Hand (1940) and he features quite heavily which is always welcome and definitely adds to the appeal. The Mummy's Ghost is of interest for me because of an appearance by George Zucco, the fine character actor from Lancashire, as the Egyptian high priest and John Carradine as Yousef Bey the sinister controller of Kharis the mummy.
Whilst the film fails to break any new ground and was almost certainly just seen as a programmer with it's slight 61 minute run time there's little in the way of filler and the story fairly zips along.
