There's really nothing wrong with this slice of repulsive German horror cinema. It's beautifully filmed and is brutally graphic albeit with a few plot holes you could drop a body into. However as it ended i decided there must be more to life than watching a seal being gutted as so called entertainment, so i got rid of it today. |

It was Allan Shackleton who acquired 'Slaughter' and made it into 'Snuff'. He was a master manipulator who shot the final scenes, spread the rumour about it being genuine, hired actors to pose as FBI agents who questioned people going to see the film about their involvement in it (although why anyone who sees a film in a cinema would be somehow involved in the making of it is anyone guess), removed all the credits to the film and came up with the classic tag line "
the film that could only be made in South America ... where Life is CHEAP!"
