I didn't know that because all my Star Wars knowledge is from the films, from The Phantom Menace to The Last Jedi and the spinoffs (Rogue One and Solo), plus the commentaries. That's why I've only just learned it's unusual for Anakin Skywalker to begin training with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan rather than Yoda, who would usually oversee the training of 'younglings' until they are old enough to be assigned to a Jedi master, usually about age 8.
As they weren't a childhood favourite and I never became a fan, I've probably seen the Star Wars films more times in the last few years than in the 30 to 40 years prior to that. I'll probably learn much more about them in the remaining days of this year as I listen to the other commentary tracks and watch the documentaries.
