Something very different here tonight. I came across this project a couple of years back and never really paid much attention until a video of youtube popped up about it saying it was a very hard listen so obviously i had to check for myself. This is from Wikipedia

The Caretaker was a long-running project by English ambient musician, James Leyland Kirby. His work as the Caretaker is characterized as exploring memory and its gradual deterioration, nostalgia, and melancholia.

The whole Caretaker project seems is a series of albums amounting to six and a half hours broken up in to the phases of dementia its a pretty haunting listen each part gets less and less coherent like the memories fading its actually quite terrifying. Not really something that will appeal to many but its a very interesting concept. From my research the inspiration came from the works of William Charles Utermohlen who after a diagnosis of Alzheimer's he painted self portraits as his illness progressed and those are pretty haunting also.

Anyway if you fancy feelig a bit shit or freaked out have a listen or not
