What didn't help was that the natural break between movies was after Avengers: End Game, but they put out Spiderman: Far From Home quickly afterwards.
Then the Pandemic hit and delayed Black Widow but during Lockdown that was when Disney+ came out and the Falcon and Winter Soldier came out which due to a somewhat captive audience, did rather well.
Which I believe lead to Marvel believing that there was such a appetite still for all things Marvel, that they churned out more Series and more Films like Shang-Chi and Eternals but those Movies didn't do as well.
Another thing that has put me off now is that you have to have watched certain series in order to know who was who when they appeared in Films like Doctor Strange And The Multiverse Of Madness.
