I would imagine it's more of a status symbol for a band to be able to say 'yeah, we played Wembley arena' ... regardless of how many seats are available to the public ! |
The band will have to pay for the whole arena though. It will cost a hell of a lot more than hiring out a theatre or Academy size venue.
I would imagine they'll lose thousands if they don't come close to filling it.
