I've added them both to my 'watch later' on Youtube... Not sure when I'll be getting around to it because it's 80s anime on the agenda for tonight!

The Haunted Madam (1986) The right blend of police procedural and Bewitched (1981). The shocking subs help in this regard cough. A lot of fun. Mountain Warriors (1992, Woi-Wei Lin) Men on a mission. Slightly sombre and reflective in places, mad as bats in others. A hoot overall. Lawdy etc ....

Magic Of Spell (1988, Chung-Hsing Chao) The sequel to COP, this time it's more of a comedic tone, but there's stell plenty of madness ensuing over here y'all. Villain resembles Edgar Winter cough.

Lunatic Frog Women (1982, Tso Nam Lee) Resourceful type females escape their internment, but get stuck in a no mans land. Featuring the strangest scuba training sequence on film , this was a lot of fun overall. The stunts are as always not H&S friendly etc. A hoot.

Thrilling Bloody Sword (1981, Hsin-Yi Chang) Ahem. This was a lot of fun, even if the print was making me a tad cross eyed. More infantile shenanigans, but that's nae all ahem. COUGH. Another recommendation from that land (and time) far far away where there are no rules it seems ... (sighs).

Cannibal Mercenary (1983, K. Chalong) This has it all. Men on a mission again, it's the staplest of tropes PTSD can be bothersome, so just check how one man deals with his in this hyperviolent, choppily edited maelstrom. Easily the Tang-iest one yet. And it's got a montage!!! AKA The Jaguar Project.

Lady Battle Cop (1990, Akihisa Okotomo) A cracking tale of revenge, tennis and psychokinesis. When a rising star falls foul of "The Cartel", what's a girl to do but get her own back? May seem familiar to some folk They just keep on a-coming. A highly entertaining piece of mayhem. Plus one of the baddies is called Amadeus.

Eastern Condors. 1987. A group of prisoners held in the U.S. after Vietnam are sent in to the enemy lines to destroy a a depot of missiles left after the war before they can be used. Sammmo Hung directs and stars in alongside Yuen Biao and former Miss Hong Kong Joyce Godenzi in this action packed film that doesn't really have his comedy element, although he did loose weight to perform some of his own stunts. Mr. Vampire Star Lam Ching-Ying plays the reluctant colonel who is forced to team up with criminals who seem a odd ball assortment. Any fans of Sammo Hung will enjoy this. download.jpg
