Default Cine Asia

Hi all you kung fu film fans

I just wanted to know if any of you have any CINE ASIA dvds in your collection, and what do you think of them. They are a company ran by the people who brought HONG KONG LEGENDS dvds to your dvd players.

All I can say is if you liked HKL then you should also like CineAsia as the whole style and extras are done pretty much the same. The biggest difference is that CineAsia are releasing some Shaw Brothers films due to their deal with Dragon Dynasty, and they also release films from other Asian countries along with the Chinese releases.

Cine Asia are a great company, they have bought the rights to Ip Man 2 recently. Unfortunately they dont have any Shaw films, no UK company are releasing them at the moment. Why dont we try and pursuade Arrow to release some? :-)

You serious? That's lucky I haven't bought any yet for the stupid prices they currently go for. I only bought The Protector cos I found a bargain but I'll look into this and wait a little longer. Cheers for the heads up

Absolutely and yours truly was hoping you'd notice my previous post as it was submitted with you in mind!

CA are reissuing a good few JC outings in the new year along with some further Bruce Lee and Jet Li efforts. I think there's roughly four or so titles coming out each month. My advice? Don't buy straight away on the release date. Give it two or three months and you'll most probably obtain the DVDs you want in HMV for around a fiver. From past experience, i've found Morrisons often charge £7 for a CA-HKL reissue on day one! Yours truly played the waiting game with the first wave of CA-HKL titles and saved myself quite a bit recently. Tbh i only really pick up these editions for the revamped covers but i don't mind when the price is right. Where CA releases are concerned patience is a virtue, believe me.
