Empty Dunwich mist shrouded streets with red bleeding eyes in the darkness.

I agree too.

So something like the cover of The Fog but with zombies? I haven't seen the film but that's the impression I get.

Me too, I love the gore in City but what I really like is the atmosphere generated throughout the film especially in the underground crypt scenes towards the end. It's more effective for me than the ending of Fulci's The Beyond. The score for CotLD is a cracker as well, although the main theme is slightly reminiscent of Zombi 2.All in all though it's Fulci's best horror movie for me.

I've been on a Fulci bender of late (Beatrice Cenci, Door to Silence, Voices from Beyond and Perversion Story have been re-seen and/ or seen for the first time) and just watched the German Blu Ray (!) of his excellent western "Silver Saddle." Figure it might be worth mentioning that this is out there in case anyone wants some other Fulci in HD to bridge the agonising wait for "City" to appear!

For me it's between this, Day Of The Dead and October's HD Wicker Man and Exorcist releases.

How about a cover image of our heroes in the catacombs creeping beneath the ceiling of skeletons from the graves above (throw in likeness of Christopher George and Janet Agren along with the other two).

maybe with the main zombies behind them and Father Thomas's hanging corpse above all framed in the iris of an eye?

As much as I'm looking forward to the other releases, including this, I can't wait to see The Exorcist in full 1080p glory!!!

Ecc, I like that screenshot and the ideas you put forward for the cover, COTLD does sound like a superb film.
