I previously forgot to mention my own SD and HD copies of Vamp arrived this time last week and another stunning Arrow package to be sure. More money well spent methinks!

This one arrived today and what a great edition as usual.
I love how you put the Arrow logo right before the start of the movie... very VHS.

I have a question about the booklet...

In it, it mentions "Blood Feast 2" as being 16:9. Is this true?
I never bought this title because all the reviews I´ve read said it was non-anamorphic. Is the movie 16:9 or is this a print error?
I also believe that the running times on the booklet for the Beyond are wrong (DVD-97/BLURAY-101).

From a review:

Quote:
Blood Feast 2 has already make it to DVD in both America and Australia and the key complaint about the transfer was common to both releases, that the picture was letterboxed rather than anamorphic. Unfortunately the same is true of Arrow's UK DVD, which has likely been sourced from the same video original, hence the NTSC to PAL conversion. In other respects the picture is pretty good, a clean transfer with decent enough contrast (detail is lacking in shadow areas, however) and the sort of colour that sings a small hymn to Lewis's formula for fake blood. But enlarged to fill a 42-inch plasma screen it's never going to look as sharp as it should for a film shot on 35mm in 2002, and tends to bring those compression artefacts into plain view.

BF2 is non-anamorphic widescreen. The 16:9 is the screen ratio. I know it's confusing, as nowadays 16:9 tends to be used to describe anamorphic dvds.

I watched Vamp for the first time earlier, and absolutely loved it!

It easily takes the '80s teen-vampire-comedy movie crown over Fright Night and The Lost Boys, for me.

Also, I found Dedee Pfeiffer to be much prettier than Michelle.

I've seen the famous (?) ladder scene, plus have seen her all PVC'd up as cat woman in Batman Returns... But still she does nothing for me!
